I might not be professionally printed and published, but I have my very own unique, bound copy of my work anyhow.

Stitching the book together. I pre-punched holes trough the paper to make it easier to sew.

My name has never looked this cool before.

The covers were made of cardboard which I painted in acrylic paint and then glued to the fabric flaps. It might be a good idea to find a way to varnish it or use more durable material, the cardboard is kind of falling apart already.

I got some paint on the title page...

Glued a second piece of fabric across the back as well to make the spine pretty.

I might do it again some time. It took a couple of hours but once I figured it out, it was really simple and it feels nice to have the entire project in book format like this.

Finally filled my stupid square sketchbook, so here are some sketches before I throw it into the box with the other old sketchbooks.

This is a bear. His name is Castor and I guess he must be a carebear since he puts up with Moon.

Maybe some day he will step on a broken glass bottle and learn to wear shoes.

These are all the same character, I think. I have never been a fan of consistency.

By the end of this sketchbook I still couldn't draw guns. Also I drew heads in at least 50% of this sketchbook, I am sure.

After aeons of peace, Consumers appeared on the horizon of existence. Great slobbering beasts with burning eyes and big, deep maws, jaws wide open and ready to swallow the universe.

Moon was thoughtful. Full of questions nobody could (or would) answer, a bit sad, a bit quiet, reluctant and full of doubt. Lethargic and stubborn, according to his twin sister. Quite the opposite to herself, the bright Sun.

She tired of prodding her brother into action, took his duties on herself, and excelled.

Photomanipulation of an image of a goldfish that I nabbed on the internet somewhere (its not really ethically proper but I was just fooling around). Then I pasted a picture of myself over its head and painted the two to merge them seamlessly.

Indeed I am a goldfish. I think people my age can relate. It's difficult to get out of this bowl that is the environment where we grew up in, but at the same time we have grown out of the bowl, so we need to move on to bigger bowls.

That looks stupider written out than it seemed in my head. Anyhow.

Pastel chalk caricature of myself. I don't know if people who know me would automatically understand that it is me; I normally wear glasses so I guess that is the mental image people has of me. The point of the assignment wasn't really to achieve likeness though, but to abstract the natural forms of the face after several studies of it (that I won't upload because they aren't very good), and to play with light and shadow.
